problems getting my PS3 connected wirelessly

i had this exact same problem with my PS3 do you have any symbols in your routers name? i.e. mine was BTrouter-1500ff
The PS3 wouldnt connect to it untill i had taken out the "-" as for some reason it didnt like that. So see if u have any symbols such as that and rename it via the options menu for ur router and it may just connect
