We have a Sony TV, when we are watching catchup on Channel 4, some (not all) of the adverts and continuity announcements sound like a really slow deep male West Indian voice. The sort of thing you sometimes hear on voiceovers where they disguise the voice. The nearest I can think of is Frank Bruno speaking slowly in a deeper voice.

Does anybody else get this or is it just us? Why does it happen?

The sound seems to go wrong on some of their ads for us, also on a Sony TV. I wouldn't have said it sounded like a deep West Indian voice though, just low pitched and distorted.

Is it inconsistant? Sometimes an advert distorts, and other times the same advert is audible? Same with continuity.
