I should’ve handed in my WS by the 12th is there any point in doing it now? Also I’m told I will get to speak to the judge and explain that it’s not just a case of sitting mute. It is true I am abroad I work away frequently for many weeks at a time. I’ve had to get time off to be at home for this date. I was at work when this incident happened the car park is not familiar to me as I live nowhere near it. No indication of evidence I didn’t tap my card just photos of me arriving and leaving 58 minutes later.0

Yes - do it now. I made it as clear as I could!
YOU MUST.Also I’m told I will get to speak to the judge and explain that it’s not just a case of sitting mute.As I explained: ONLY witnesses who have signed a WS get to speak (unless you get a lenient Judge). But you've already been sanctioned once. DO NOT MISS THE WS.
DO THE WS NOW.

Will do it now0
-
As mentioned, you MUST, the court order ordered it, so ignoring a court order could be construed as possibly contempt of court, or unreasonable conduct , which could incur sanctions and extra charges being added
You dont seem to appreciate the dangers you could incur , and the monetary outcomes, nevermind what is on the claim form, plus possible advocate fees on top
If you fail to follow out advice, the outcome could be a shock, whereas a late WS can always be excused and allowed by the judge, whereas no WS puts you in the wilderness and possibly hundreds of pounds out of pocket
It would be extremely foolish to ignore our advice at this juncture0 -
Its really frustrating people dont prioritise cases when this amount is as at stake.
Its like people have money to just throw away1 -
Keep it fairly concise, similar to your new defence (only in the first person, and attaching any evidence you have).
Explain at the start in para 2 that you have just flown into the UK for the hearing and wish to ask for loss of leave/salary for days off, and travel costs (attach the flight/passenger name proof and the costs).
Try to email this WS (signed & dated under a SoT) without fail TONIGHT. That way they've had 3 working days to read it but there's nothing 'new/different' that you could be accused of ambushing them with so hopefully the Judge allows your late WS.PRIVATE 'PCN'? I’ve done it, now I hope it’s accepted. It almost 6 weeks until I go to court. Thanks for the kick up the bum.2

It’s not that I haven’t not prioritised it but to be very honest I have found some of the information on here hard to understand. I’m not clear on legal jargon I’m in all different countries time zones and because of that I’ve not been able to keep on top of everything. I’ve been overwhelmed with everything I’ve needed to do sometimes whilst away with work.I’ve been told that the max I can be told to pay is everything they have asked for not thousands. I have found this whole process overwhelming and rather intimidating so it’s not a case of just ignore and it’ll go away but I am now where I am. The judge didn’t appreciate my ‘internet defence’ which threw me.I just hope that my defence is enough and if I don’t win I at least get some leniency and don’t have pay anything they’ve asked for.0

So the court wanted the WS a bit earlier than normal. At least you've done it now and hopefully dodged a default loss. Also, if they will have over 6 weeks to read your WS, they can't say they were disadvantaged in any way. So hopefully the judge will crack on at the hearing and you'll say your piece.
Did you read the hearing outcomes from those 3 cases I linked? Similar arguments to yours.
Now you have fought this stage in your battle, pleease join us to win the war...
This month, we need you: PLEASE bookmark this thread below and do the government's Public Consultation if you haven't done it yet.Their proposals are wrong. We must stop them.See this thread: -
We need every poster to come back & complete this vital Consultation before the deadline! Just 2 weeks left but please don't rush it. You can do some then save it and come back to it as you have time.
We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that.
So to try to help, I've written some guidance on that thread.
Any questions on the Consultation please ask - on the dedicated thread - but I've covered up to question 20 already in that first post, openly telling everyone what I'm going to put and/or what sort of evidence you might wish to use for your response, if you agree with what we'll be saying from our experience.
Whilst your answers must of course be your own, there are vital points to safeguard motorists interests to make, that many people may not think of without our guidance because we see cases every day and we know the legal background.
However, people like you have lived & breathed the intimidation, greed and unfairness first hand so your voice is needed!

It probably wouldn't have been thousands ( nobody mentioned thousands ), very unlikely, but possibly hundreds, instead of what is on the claim form minus any £70 debt collectors fees, so by submitting the email to the court and Moorside Legal, you likely dodged an expensive and costly bullet, so now it's back on track with limited worse case scenario
Apologise in court if necessary, for any lateness due to being out of the country etc, and ask that it's better for the court to accept it and deal with the case there and then
You can even Apologise for being an unrepresented Litigant in Person, with little or no legal knowledge, so will be guided by the learned judge etc
I am the same, only I have read thousands of threads on here, so gained knowledge through reading, plus I can ask a trained and registered solicitor, although they know very little about private parking cases, but do understand the legal stuff
You are not alone, but do follow the good advice on here, it can save you money
So please fill in the public consultation before it closes near your court date, ideally this month1
