It doesn't happen all the time, and is more of an irritant than a problem. I do wonder why it does it. Sometimes it flashes for a while and then the normal screen comes on. At other times it will flash and then switch off. When I switch back on it may go straight to the normal screen or flash for a while first. I can't see…

could something like the programme map be needed updating, perhaps? In the settings. My LG tv wants the programme map updating all the time at the moment.
