iD Mobile Deal Not Worth the Hassle

I have been trying to get the iD mobile 50GB SIM only deal sorted for about 6 days now.  Initially it seemed to be quite attractive taking into account the £40 voucher for Amazon or Curry's.  The first time I tried the voucher deal didn't go through so I got in touch with iD and canelled  the contract.  Then I tried again the next day.  By then I'd managed to work out the convoluted process you need to follow to get the voucher. 

The SIM was reported as being dispatched RM 48 hour unsigned, I had the email confirming the voucher and thought I was set.  Two days later no SIM and tracking reported it as being somewhere in the Yorkshire hub, whatever that it.  

Contacted iD who said they would send another SIM 24 hr special delivery. Then another parcel appeared in my Post Office tracking app as 48 hr unsigned for.  The first one still in the Yorkshire hub.  The second one did get out of the Yorkshire Parcel Hub but then vanished.  

2 days later and no tracking info I'm infomed that my first bill is ready. 

Then I get an email saying my package has been delivered.  It hasn't. 

Had enough now.  

The deal I took at the same time to replace my data SIM via Lebara was delivered and activated the day before yesterday. 

iD are not worth bothering with.   

Really MSE should not have iD in their deals, they are useless.  You have been warned.

unless things have  changed massively with ID  Mobile in the past coupel of years  sims  were generally sent  out   untracked  RM 24 unless  the customer  requested  next day courier  delivery . 

your  actual problem is with RM  not with ID / Currys ,  but as seems typical for MSE   people are quick to blame Currys  rather than the delivery  partner or their own choices / omissions

Except when they send it to the billing address and not the delivery address.  Can't really blame the Royal Mail for that, much as people like to hate on them
