Voicemail iPhone / 1pmobile
I would message 1pmobile (my mobile service provider) with this question, but they're closed now until Monday so I was hoping that someone here could help. Over the last month, two of the calls I received on my iPhone 13 were unanswered and the callers "left" a message on voicemail - except that there were no verbally recorded messages, all I received was a transcription of the messages instead. Can anyone tell me how to get the verbal recordings to work again, please? I can see where to turn off the transcriptions, but I would have thought that these were in addition to, not instead of the verbal messages?

I think there is a setting on their website in Settings (amazingly!) where you can turn visual voicemail on and off and it applies only to IPhones as I understand it0

They are in addition to the recordings (real name Visual Voicemail) Press the play button, the arrow, to listen to the recordings. They must be there because your phone generates the transcriptions from the recording.1

Thank you Frozen_up_north, this is what mine looks like too. I’ve dropped them a message, see what they say.0

It’s the verbal voicemail that’s no longer available, not the visual. I’m getting transcription but not verbal.0

As far as I know, transcription works alongside Visual Voicemail. You’d need it turned on in your Dashboard.It sounds like somehow, it’s on your phone but off on the Dashboard. Try turning it on on the Dashboard.Once it’s working, if you don’t want Live and Visual Voicemail turn it off on your Dashboard and the phone will follow suit.0

Settings -> Apps -> Phone
Then turn off Live Voicemail. It’s a phone feature not a network feature. There won’t be a voice recording of those transcribed voicemails:I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0
