If you goto the saleroom, there are lots of FHM magazines being sold and Beano, is always popular (later though is not always the best money) I know at our B & M auction house we have specialist departments for music and hifi and toys (comics fall in to this remit) I know last year there was a large collection of marvel type ones that sold for thousands, not going to suggest Beano will get that, but agree with RFW they need to be collated and damp free.

Re the Aiwa stuff Retro hifi does do well the thing in demand at the moment is portable mini disc players, sony walkmans and the older style "boom boxes/ghetto blasters"

Retro anything '80s seems to be going well. It's not anything I know much about but I'd wager that the monitor would still pull a few quid even if it didn't work. Someone in the know can set up a modern screen inside it.

I seem to recall we had to use a rope and a few people to get it on - seems it's about 30kg I believe, I think we put it on a joist, well if not we'd know about it by now nearly 20 years later!
A bit more than 20 years ago I ran my own auction house. I had a delivery of those type of monitors and old TVs. It arrived late so I was the only one to unload it. Horrible things to move around. Looking at the prices I should have kept them for 30 years and I'd be able to retire now!

Ouch, yeah, that wouldn't have been fun!

Not sure I can be bothered with the whole ebay thing, wondering if there's anywhere I can just take say the monitor or electrical stuff.

I've pretty much decided the magazines aren't worth bothering with.

Now somewhere in there is as master system, mega drive and a ps1.. Those are coming to live with me in my loft!
  • Put it on freecycle, it’s amazing what people like to have, and save a trip to the dump.
