I was wondering if anyone could please give me some advice how to proceed with SCS with a faulty part of a sofa.
Quick timeline….
Purchased 12/23
Delivered 1/24
Noticed an area of material on the sofa had a fault and was thinning and holes appearing (only an small area approx 3cmx3cm) 3/24
SCS wants photos showing fault and arranged engineer to come to view damage 4/24
SCS then cancel appt as not required and have ordered new part from photos supplied by me, however 16 weeks wait time
SCS arrange engineer to fit new part….wrong part ordered reordered right part 9/24 16 weeks wait time
SCS get new part in early December no engineer to fit until 1/25
Engineer arrives to fit part wrong colour/material/side 1/25
Have spoken to SCS and they have apologised and will reorder again…. They are prepared to compensate and are getting back with a figure….
Where do I stand on this?

Ideally I want a new sofa as the amount of time passed, I very much doubt the part will now colour match the colour of our sofa, if the part ever arrives….is this viable? And we need to consider that as we have 2 sofas the colour won’t now match.
The sofa is useable and we just have to be careful when sitting on that side. This was our first big purchase for years, we’ve always had hand me down sofas etc so I was so excited to purchase a new one and have just been left feeling so disappointed, I know there are much much worse things going on than to worry about a sofa but would just like to be prepared for them phoning back.
Thank you in advance

What outcome do you want? To reject both sofas? A compensation sum that would leave you happy living with the colour discrepancy? If the latter, how much, and how does that compare to the price paid?
One option to consider is a cash sum that covers the cost of two professionally-fitted throws/covers, so you have "matching" sofas, plus a little more for the inconvenience.0
