Worth bearing in mind that there's hardly any difference between Tracker and SVR at the moment - I'm using Octopus Watch and it shows that if I had been on Tracker I would have paid £674.84 for electricity over the last 3 months vs. £676.03 on SVR (this is for the East Midlands).

We had to have one in 2023 to renew at the end of our first term (going onto the Nov 22 tariff).I remember all the hoo ha on here about having to have a smart meter fitted the last time my Tracker renewed, at that time it was only new people that needed to have smart meter, you could see that in the terms. I did nothing about my meter and just renewed, no questions asked about smart meters. It is different now though, I was specifically told I'd have to have a smart meter to continue Tracker in Feb of this year. But I wonder if it depended which version you were on as a friend said she didn't have a choice but I wasn't sure if she'd actually read the terms. Although I'm sure you did @Spoonie_Turtle
