I put a private number plate on my last two car purchases with Toyota. Will I need the original car registration number to make a claim or will my private plate be acceptable for the claim?

There is no claim, just registering interest to see what the FCA come out with
Just send all your details - if you bought the car with generic reg and then changed it, then use the original oneSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Will depend on the reg no given with car.
Just do not expect anything soon.
The FCA is proposing to ease the pressure by scrapping an eight-week deadline for lenders to respond to customer complaints. It suggests an extension to 31 May 2025 – when it plans to set out the next steps in its narrower investigation – or 4 December 2025.Life in the slow lane0 -
I bought a car via 2 loans provided by Porsche Financial Services. They were bought out by Volkswagen in 2010. Volkswagen have said that my commission claim not their responsibility. they said contact RBS or Black Horse as one of them could have been the underwriters, but their are unsure. Can anyone help? I have emailed this site but they have said they receive to many emails for them to reply. I coming to the conclusion that this is a con and a way for this site to generate clicks. I can find no where on the site for help or info as to who is responsible when one Financial firm takes over another, as in my case. I conclude this is all for clicks being that the Energy provider thing appears not to be as big as it once was. If MSE is going to introduce this stuff to the public it needs to do it properly and cover all bases otherwise its just a wind up.0

Porsche finance were not 'bought out" by VW finance, Porsche switched finance providers from Black Horse to VW finance from 1st July 2010 onwards. You should send your complaint to whoever the Finance Provider was at the time of your purchase- Black Horse probably

I have emailed this site but they have said they receive to many emails for them to reply. It would be unreasonable to expect them to reply to personal enquiries.I coming to the conclusion that this is a con and a way for this site to generate clicks.A bizarre conclusion.I can find no where on the site for help or info as to who is responsible when one Financial firm takes over another, as in my case.It varies and can be confusing and the FCA report will clear some of it up.I conclude this is all for clicks being that the Energy provider thing appears not to be as big as it once was. If MSE is going to introduce this stuff to the public it needs to do it properly and cover all bases otherwise its just a wind up.MSE didn't introduce this to the public. MSE is not the regulator. You are just being premature.
