Morning everyone and 'thank you' for starting us off Gers.
Hope you all have a good day.12 -
Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's frosty here, but shows signs of being fine once it's fully light.
I think it's going to be a pottering day today, there are various little jobs to catch up on, and I'll put a load of washing in.
A friend is coming round tonight and we'll put the world to rights as usual.
That's about it for today.
Hope everyone has a good day, thoughts to our sad and poorly people.
Take care folks.13 -
Morning folks and thanks for kicking off GERS. Last night's thick fog here has disappeared and we are forecast a nice sunny day reaching the dizzy heights of 8 deg!
Whilst still in bed I thought it will be a shame to waste a nice day indoors I might have a bus ride to Ilkley. The trouble is by the time I have waited for the first bus we can use our pass on I have gone off the idea! So that may or may not happen we'll see!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) as always for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all xx

Morning all; a bit misty here today.
DGS will be here in a while and we'll take him to MK as I have a voucher for free tea and cake in JL. He'll probably fall asleep in the car seat after that and wake up when we get home
This evening sees DH and I off out in different directions for Morris practice. Mine will be down the M1 so I hope there aren't any traffic problems.
Look after yourselves and hugs to the poodles.13 -
Morning again - got my first coffee and ready to go.Yesterday was again mild and only damp. I resisted going out so champing at the bit today. This morning I've got the pool exercise class, the first since before Christmas now I'm really ready for it. The bag of recycling is still in the car, I hope to empty it when out.Not much news here apart from I spent a bit of time booking a couple of comedy gigs for later in Spring - Milton Jones and Hal Cruttenden both playing in Hexham. The venue is a small community owned one which I like.I hope that everyone keeps doing well, hugs to all our poorlies and a gentle squeeze to @DP1's brave little one.12

I had such a terrible nights sleep I think I saw just about every hour during the night so I feel like a wet dishrag this morning it was a huge struggle to get out of bed and today might be challenging.
DD is off for a spa day with her bestie which will be lovely and relaxing for them both.Dinner tonight will be bacon egg and chips nice and quick meal and I hope to get an early night to catch up on some sleep.
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning everyone just off out to a cleaning job then I will go straight from there to have my eyebrows done I’m going to have my nails done as well they are a mess all shapes and sizes so I’ve decided that this year I’m going to have them done properly and I will wear gloves when I do my cleaning and hopefully by the summer I will look like I have nice nails not chipped a year of self care . I watched Martin last night and have talked hubby into going and sorting our phones out they are just out of contract and I could do with sorting them out and getting the price down so that’s a job for the weekend must dash . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning all. It's frosty here at the moment but promising to be another sunny and dry day with highs of 9 c and lows of 1 c. I don't have anywhere to go today but will be waiting for the council surveyor to arrive this afternoon, sometime between noon and 4pm.
It was a joy to be out and about yesterday after being stuck indoors for so long. My Co-op trip was fruitful; soft plastics delivered to their recycling bin and purchases made, including two jars of mincemeat (28p each), a jar of cranberry sauce (19p), a tin of sardines (15p - 65p less a 50p membership offer) and a TV guide (another 25p saved with a membership offer).
After lunch I had another trip out, this time to the print & stationery shop (opposite direction to the Co-op) and had DH's Will scanned. That's now been uploaded to his bank's system for them to peruse after which they'll send a form for me to fill in with my bank details so they can release funds. Another To Do crossed of the Sadmin list.
Today's job is to make sausage rolls; there's a sheet of puff pastry in the fridge to use up and I'll use the meat from a pack of sausages for the filling. Once that's done I'll give the skirting boards in the living room a clean - this is where the garden kneeler comes in handy. I can get down OK but the getting up can be a challenge!
Tea tonight is the other half of the beef stew - with dumplings - and a couple of satsumas for afters.
Commiserations to the sleep deprived (I'm looking at you @RedRuby1231) and hugs to all who need or want them. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.7 -
Morning everyone
Calm and quiet here this morning and the sun is meant to come out later.
I went to the 'crafternoon' yesterday, it was ok....there were a few nice women there I talked to, but also a lady I often see on the bus who is very nosy and likes to ask people lots of personal questions! The craft was decorating glass jars which I didn't find very exciting - but I did learn that the weekly craft is on their facebook page a couple of days before so I'd probably try it again if it was something I wanted to do. That sounds a bit negative but the lady running it was very nice and very welcoming - I'll see.
Anyways I have some jobs to do this morning then work at lunchtime. I said I'd pop over to see my friend across the road for a cuppa after work, which will be nice.
Hope you all have a good day today

Morning from very foggy Mehefinland.
well it cleared yesterday after I posted and we had some sunshine, but then the fog came back with a vengeance and it is still very thick here now. I actually heard the fog horn going yesterday afternoon, which is the first time for years! Not sure quite where it was coming from as the nearest one was decommissioned some years back when everything became automated, ( they do fire it off occasionally ), so it may have been shipping in the Bristol Channel.
Had 2 good friends around last night to go through some of Dawn's clothing which I had sorted and put onto a borrowed rail. Much hilarity coming from behind closed doors, but a useful if emotional evening. Some clothes taken, and the rest organised into piles for vint*d, charity shop(s) or clothes bank. Its a foray into my past and evoked lots of memories, and a few 'got something in my eye' moments too. Will bag up the stuff and deliver in the next few days. Then can start on round two of the process. There are some things which would be considered vintage and I want to deal with them separately, as they should have a reasonable value. All proceeds are going to CRUK anyway but I think I can realise more money selling these privately.
There's no rush but I find a little bit now and then is far easier than trying to do everything in one hit.
Off for a freezer dive now - that's another area I need to address. Keep those poodles safe
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin aka Derek
