How many words can you have in a new thread/Post.

Is there a limit to how many words you can have in one post?
I have a post with 1,402 character and it won't post on this forum?
I keep getting an error message.

You have to be around for a little while longer before you can post links.
I have been here ages!!

I have partly resolved the problem by cutting the size of my my post Question.
It is posted now.
It would be helful for future use if you do know the answer to my Question ?

Hi @Technowme

There are limitations on what a 'Newbie' can post. The Newbie status is based on age of your account AND the amount of posts you have made. 

But if your issue was because of character count, it's likely you would have been shown a message mentioning characters. 

It's more likely that in editing your post, you removed something that Newbies aren't allowed to post, like a live link.

It could be as you said i havent posted much here.
I am more a reader.
I was posting a web address as refrence in my post
https://www.skipton.co.uk/savings/fixed-rate-bonds.
I can't realy see the forum objecting to a refrence.
It's not like i am advertising.
