I waited 15 months after submitting my AR1, they did a paper based assessment.

Can I ask, throughout those 15 months did you get the periodic text messages from DWP saying "We still have your PIP form and will be progressing your review as soon as we can. You may still need an assessment with a health professional. … "?

That's exactly what mine said throughout. This indicates that your file hasn't yet been sent across to the assessment providers. If it is sent across the text update would change to something like.. "we are managing your PIP claim, you may need an assessment and we will contact you if you do"

    We got this.
Then a month later a appointment for phone assessment 3 weeks later, & a reminder each week about the appointment.
Now we have found this has gone for a audit... More delays 🤬

Heh, I was thinking 'okay great, no need to worry about an assessment yet then' and today the text comes through from HAAS to tell me they've got my case and will contact me if I need an assessment.  Still, I don't know if I'd have fully understood without the explanation here that the DWP one was before they sent it across to the assessment providers, especially with the timing of a(nother) DWP text yesterday.

The PIP one I linked to above came from a different number than the usual DWP ones on PIP which our last one was 27-09 "We still have your pip form"

Will post a timeline of our whole process once sorted.. As it may help others.

That's a shame, I was really hoping you would have had a decision without them sending the form across. A paper based assessment is still possible at this stage.

I was one of the lucky ones and my form wasn't sent across so I never got that message you did today, only the other ones.

I held out hope, but alas, not to be this time.  They've booked a telephone assessment for me, a smidge over a year since my review forms were sent back.

[I really hoped I wouldn't be having to explain how and why my health is even worse than when I sent those forms back (and why I didn't bother telling them about it - because I already qualified for enhanced, it makes no material difference) but here we are.  *sigh*]

Grrr I’m sorry to hear that you need the assessment. Nothing worsen than having to go through one of those. I hope you get the right decision!
