Hi. I've used the resolver approach as my return to UK from Amsterdam was delayed by 6 hours. The reason is I missed the connection at schipol, the next flight was overbooked and I was offered a nearby airport and caught a bus home. The reason for delay was the flight crew needed a rest. KLM say this is an "extraordinary circumstance " and denying compensation. Anyone had experience of this and what was the outcome, please? Thnx

The flight crew reaching their safe working hours limit is a symptom not a cause, i.e. it must have been for an underlying reason, do you know what that was?

Having said that, it's not unreasonable to expect KLM to have a decent supply of spare crew at their global HQ, so in itself it may not be valid for them to claim that they did all they could....
