It sounds like a near miss. Would it be worth reporting the strength of the effects on the Yellow Card scheme?

Welcome back to the land of the awake. I was getting a bit concerned. :)

    Thanks all.

I’d not heard of the Yellow Card scheme, I will have to look into that.

Both my daughters are indeed totally sensible enough to monitor my medication if I asked but I guess I’d not thought about it before. Currently I still flag this sort of thing to my mum and she will phone and check in on me if I ask her too. Though tbf I probably need to consider a back up plan because whilst I always used to trust that she would come and intervene if I was no longer able to make my own decisions, she now has her own significant issues with memory and she is perhaps less able to rescue me should I need it. My brother is great for lots of things but not this. dd1 would be the obvious choice but is rarely around. Hmm, something to ponder.

Ok, so slightly more back in the real world today. I am really hoping to do an Olio run this evening but I don’t recall ever doing one on a Sunday night before so we will have to see what comes up.

I did take a tentative step back towards surveys today, and sold a book on eBay for £20. 😁

I think this brings my £5’s back up to date…

Hi EB, olio listings on Sundays are generally much earlier due to the big stores closing at 4.

Sadly no Olio run yesterday. I am not sure if I was just too late or food was just picked up by FWH’s that lived further away, but I checked repeatedly and nothing came up any closer than 4 miles away. After doing an Olio run once that ended up spanning 3 miles but in opposite directions from home, dd2 agreed no further than 3 miles and only in one general direction. Further than that and the time, effort and diesel start to outweigh the benefit of the pickup. We will take a look again this evening. 😁

I hope you're first in the queue this evening! I got half price cucumber, cinnamon buns and mushrooms today due to the Iceland/ Olio posts. :)

Well since Olio still hasn’t worked out this week, I gave up and took dd2 shopping today. I felt a bit lost as without my Olio goodies steering my shop (I wasn’t just trying to fill gaps to make meals), I was starting from scratch and left with too much choice as to what I could have for dinner. So I gazed at the lamb shanks (yum), then I looked at the price (£6.50 in Aldi), and opted for pizza instead. 😢 I decided to treat myself to an individual Chocolate Sundae for pudding, but as soon as I picked it up dd2 looked so longingly at it I got one for her too. Then wouldn’t you know it but I got home and dd1 was so disappointed that she didn’t get one that I gave mine to dd1. So much for my treat! 🤣

I haven’t updated my £5’s sheet today as it has been pretty busy and I am too tired now. But I did post the book I sold yesterday on ebay and today I sold an old jumper on Vinted and a school blazer on ebay. 😁

Unfortunately I then spent £73.50 on tickets for dd2 to see Sweenie Todd next year for her birthday. 🤦‍♀️ This blows my £50 budget for unexpected costs out of the water but it is something she really wants to see with her friend and the seats were selling out. It will be her 18th birthday so it felt worthwhile. In theory the friend should pay us back for her ticket but I am not counting on that ever materialising. My thinking for buying both was it is a long time until summer next year and if the friend pulls out I can always just go with her instead. That way no matter what happens she will get to see it. 🤞

dd2 and I also made a trip across town to a different Tesco in the hunt for a jumper dd1 really likes but our local Tesco did not have in her size. It’s dd1’s birthday in November so dd2 wanted to buy it for her, and after a bit of debate over sizing, the jumper was purchased! 🎉 It made me feel completely disorganised as I haven’t even started thinking about dd1’s birthday and until the 1st November I am definitely not buying anything for it. That’s something to worry about as part of November budget!
