Well, I am still cleaning the sofa! 🤦‍♀️

I can’t bring myself to buy a new sofa when I am so desperately digging myself out of debt so I opted to spend £29.99 on a new bottle of good quality upholstery cleaner and have been scrubbing away again with the carpet cleaner. I’ve cleaned it from all sides, including from underneath and I have scrubbed the floor too. It is all just drying and then I will give the seat covers and cushions another wash and dry before declaring it either fixed or in need of replacement. I am beyond exhausted so I’ve not been able to make an Olio run or do any surveys etc but I figured the cost of replacing a sofa was likely more than I could make in the time so it made sense to opt to scrub instead.

Oh and I should point out Big Dog has not peed in his crate so there is absolutely nothing wrong with him, he obviously was just having a moment. Normal housebroken behaviour has resumed thankfully. I suspect the second and third night behaviour was because he could smell where he had been before so he thought it was fair game. Unfortunately covid has rendered my sense of smell a bit hit and miss so I have to rely on other people to tell me if something smells. I always know something must smell very very bad if I can smell it!

Well done for a mammoth effort on the sofa, that's a tiring job at the best of times. I hope you've cured the smell. Once it's dried, perhaps shake some bicarb into the corners to boost the effect?

It's certainly a lot cheaper than replacing the sofa,  so that's the price of a sofa 'earned', if you want to look at it that way.

I hope you were able to catch up on sleep afterwards.

Sad to report that not much debt busting has been happening the past few days as the new medication made me non functional. Thankfully I got a food shop in for dd2 and I before I lost all sense of how to human, so fingers crossed it hasn’t been too damaging. Honestly, I’ve not even known if it was morning, afternoon, or the middle of the night, let alone what day it is or if I am sticking to budget. I need to reconcile my accounts to work out what has been going on but then I will be back on it. 💪

I have reduced the new medication back as far as I dare to hopefully get my brain back. I’ll give it a few more days and then stop it completely. Then make a note never to touch the stuff again!

That must be very worrying for you EB , very worrying that medication can cause these effects , really hope you can find something that helps without interfering with normal life so much , I would be kind to yourself and think about the debt busting when you recover . Take care xx

I'm wondering if your eldest daughter is old enough and responsible maybe she could just dole out these tablets as agreed.
If they effect you that much . Just for now as a safety precaution.

Actually you have 2 such sensible daughters I think either could help with that.
I know my sister needs some very heavy duty stuff at times & she sets a timer so that she doesn't take the next lot too soon - especially if she is going to need to drive.
