Well Olio had much less on offer this evening but we all still got something. dd2 was over the moon at the donuts, dd1 got to share the muffins with me, the dogs got carrots and ham (Big Dog’s face when I brought the bags in - a mixture of excitement and concern that he might not get anything, bless him), and the guinea’s got the extra bags of salad leaves.I obviously also have some other stuff that I will turn into meals throughout the week, but best item for me was a bag full of loose apples - I am easily pleased! The challenge now is what to do with 12 pots of hummus (that are deemed not suitable for freezing). 🤔 Obviously I did not actually request 12 pots but hey ho, I didn’t request the flowers either but I am not complaining!

Hi EB would you consider becoming an Olio volunteer and claiming some slots? Olio now has “save me” collections for the later collections/less popular slots which means you can keep as much of the collection as you like for yourself.3

I've read the notice on the humus that says it's not suitable for freezing, but I froze it anyway... I think it loses texture a bit but other than that it seemed absolutely fine.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Delurking, I’ve frozen hummus too and apart from a slight change of texture it was fine .
i trial freeze things that say not suitable and if mostly works ok ,if it doesn’t what have you lost ?4 -
Thanks all! Hummus shall now be frozen! Tbh that’s ideal for me because they are perfect little pots just for me and I am the only person in the house that eats hummus. 😁 Although at this rate I will need another freezer! 🤣
I have indeed thought about becoming a FWH but I floated the idea past the kids and it was a hard pass. They are very uncomfortable with the idea of strangers coming to the door (we don’t do visitors in this house), and tbh I think I am not best placed for it as there is such limited parking outside my house - the neighbours would no doubt hate me. I may change my mind in future but for now I’ll just have to keep picking up on a Saturday night.End ofDec-24Aug-25Brother 5,400.00 7,950.00 Overdraft owed 1,349.90 0.00 MBNA CC 10,534.20 11,531.06 Barclaycard CC 9,667.21 9,771.80 Fluid CC 0.00 809.75 NatWest CC 12,018.14 11,814.72 Aqua 0.00 1,147.94

Looks like a good pick up from Olio again.

Weight-in day this morning. Average last week was 204.4lbs, average this week 203.9lbs, so 0.5lb lost! ✅ I know it is not the 1lb a week I was hoping for but it does seem to be going in the right direction and I am happy with that. Considering I am trying to live off Olio food as much as possible, it is not easy to plan and buy a strict diet as it would be if I was only focused on the food regardless of cost, so any downwards trend is to be celebrated in my book. 😁End ofDec-24Aug-25

Everything going in the right direction.
Debt down, weight down.
Doesn't matter if it is tiny amounts.

Another item sold on ebay - £2.50 for another item of random clutter that I have literally no use for. 😁 But yet again I will not see the money this month so can’t add it to my £5’s total. 😕 I am beginning to think that I need to rethink my self imposed rules around the £5’s because it feels like whatever I do the total barely moves up and most of the benefit I get falls into the following month. Maybe it should go towards the £5’s total when sold/earn’t etc instead of when it is in my bank? Any thoughts?
