Yeah, I know what you mean about the walking apps. I’d not heard of this one before so I thought I’d give it a go but I have zero plans to spend anything with them and have already cancelled the free trial subscription to avoid forgetting at the end of the week. The sad thing is work used to have a great walking app. It didn’t give out cash but the points could be redeemed for coffee or lunch on site and it was really useful as I was rarely on site so it pretty much gave me free coffee every time I was there. They canned it a few months ago and I’ve yet to find a decent alternative. 😕End ofDec-24Aug-25

I am still not convinced anyone can make reasonable money from Vinted. Today I had someone offer £1.80 for a brand new, with tags top that was £25-£30 when purchased. £1.80! Are they having a laugh? I know it’s £1.80 I haven’t current got but I’ve just sold a used T-shirt from Primark (worth about £2.50 new), for £1.50. I mean, I’ll probably start buying any new clothes I buy from Vinted (when I next have any money to buy anything), but seriously, as a seller I find it impossible to actually make any money. 🤷♀️End ofDec-24Aug-25

They've turned really cheeky on Vinted, I have a bundle of baby clothes on, about 6-7 different outfits, I got offered £1.80 too 🥺 so disheartening1

Hi EB , hope you are feeling better , good luck on the upcoming interview . Same here with vinted , had a suit on for 14 pounds , tags on jacket and trousers totalled 47 pounds , I got offered 8 pounds ! Obviously refused but it does annoy me .

Well after I turned down three offers on Vinted for the same top today I finally had enough and just sold it for £3. Still ridiculously cheap but I wasn’t in the mood for the haggling. £3 in my bank is better than a bit of clutter that I will never wear I suppose.
The reason I was not in the mood was because work have finally pushed me over the edge today by announcing in a team meeting that my line manager is changing and I will be reporting into one of our Agile Coaches. It was one of those ‘final straw that broke the camel’s back’ moments. Not only am I not doing anything like my job description but now I am not even reporting into a Delivery Manager. The reason this is significant is I keep highlighting how they are pigeonholing me into Agile and this is making it impossible for me to move up. No other person with the same job description as me is in this situation, just me, and I am sick of it. It came as a big shock (I was not expecting it at all and I have a great line manager I don’t want to lose) and despite asking to take it offline they kept insisting that I was wrong about my own job description and even once I had burst into tears they just would not stop. The senior manager said he had to go but would call me back in half an hour and never did, so I contacted the manager above, explained my perspective and pointed out that I simply do not believe there was no other choice with the allocations because the other guy in our team was being handed something that would have been ideally suited to me and in my eyes he should be given what I have got because we are supposed to rotate. I brought up my job description and that of our Scrum Master on screen and pointed out that I am doing their job far more than my own job and have been for a long time (there’s being a band above mine pay-wise), and that if it wasn’t sorted I am taking it to HR. I have literally had enough.Hopefully I get the BA role and the whole thing becomes null and void but I suspect they thought I wouldn’t risk rocking the boat for fear that it would harm that application. Well no. That would assume I really desperately want the BA role which I don’t. I need the job because I need the money but I doubt I’ll get it because of how they are pigeonholing me into Agile. So, regardless of if it damages my chances or not, I just cannot afford to let this slide.Gosh I am looking forward to work tomorrow. 😔End ofDec-24Aug-25Brother 5,400.00 7,950.00 Overdraft owed 1,349.90 0.00 MBNA CC 10,534.20 11,531.06 Barclaycard CC 9,667.21 9,771.80 Fluid CC 0.00 809.75 NatWest CC 12,018.14 11,814.72 Aqua 0.00 1,147.94

That sounds dire - I hope it works out better now you've involved the senior person.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Well miraculously by 9am they had somehow suddenly discovered a massive project tucked down the back of the sofa which just so happened to have my name on it. 🤔 Do they think I was born yesterday? Apparently my new Agile Coach of a manager will still be my new line manager but now I will be a Scrum Master inside this super duper flagship project! Aren’t I lucky?! 🤣 I genuinely think they were a bit takenaback by my lukewarm/frosty response. Gee thanks, you’ve gone away and thought about how you are going to put a new spin on a still rubbish situation for me. 😔 And sure, now I am both a Scrum Master that I don’t want to be, working in a portfolio I don’t want to work in, on a project I can already see will be a car crash and I am STILL not being paid what I am worth. But don’t worry, it’s a good ‘stretch’ assignment for me! (But no promises it will lead to promotion).Fingers crossed I get the BA role hey!Other than that, work was just more of the crazy same old same old. I did however have a lovely ham salad sandwich for lunch thanks to Olio. 😁End ofDec-24Aug-25
