Solicitor fees and Inheritance tax.

Does anyone know if solicitor fees are taken into consideration and payed before or after inheritance tax is calculated? Obviously in an ideal world the solicitor is payed before to minimise the inheritance tax bill.

No, you can’t deduct solicitors fees to reduce IHT.2

Sorry not stamp duty, I meant inheritance tax. Been a long day, many thanks for your replies.0
