HSBC Premier changes

Based on Reddit posts, HSBC are really cracking down now and getting rid of those who can't meet the requirements.1

HSBC Premier have actually some valuable benefits attached to it, all for free, compared to the other High Street Banks. They have a very valuable Family Travel Insurance and when they have changed the qualifying criteria mentioned in this post, also launched HSBC Health (similar to the Bupa subscription Lloyds has launched with Premier shortly after) so it makes sense for them to ensure that only eligible people have the account in the first place.0

I recieved a letter last week informing me that mine is now set to downgrade at the end of January. I've never used any of the perks in all the years I've had it. The only one that might be useful is the £500 no fee overdraft but I'm always on the ball anyway (I check my app daily for any upcoming direct debits) so always make sure any outgoings are fully funded.0
