    Hello @Coupon-mad

    I hope you are well.

To find out whether the other party has paid the court fees, should I keep checking MCOL, or will I be notified by letter in the post?

Neither. Think about where your case is.

    Hello,
How will I know if the claim has been struck out?

I have a court hearing scheduled for 11th July, but the Claimant had until 23rd June to make a payment to the Court.

Is it appropriate to email MCOL to check the status, or should I just wait for further updates?

MCOL had no part in proceedings once the file was passed to your local court

Thats the court where your hearing is to be held. They will know if DCB LEGAL paid the court fee and if you still need to attend.

I contacted the Court on Friday and was informed that the Claimant had written a notice to discontinue the case. I was advised to email the Court to request a copy of the Discontinuance letter, which I have done, but I have not yet received a response. As the case is still listed for this Friday, should I follow up with the Court again if the letter does not arrive soon?

No, your case is won! Congrats.

    ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!

We do need to see the NoD though because we are counting them for the Government on Umkomaas' disco thread. Are you sure it's not in your junk email folder?
