Hey sorry, is there a specific guide that walks through answering the questionnaire in the newbies thread?
I can't see it if there is. I understand I need to do a digital copy and email the questionnaire. Thanks.
Did you see this in the second post of the NEWBIES thread?...

Items 8 and 9 in that checklist you were following when you filed a defence also offers some guidance on how to complete the N180 form.

I think the NEWBIES thread is pretty clear? It is a very easy little form to complete.

No questions about 'section D' or the Welsh question please, and obviously I haven't updated it with stuff about section E, which is down to you who you nominate to do the laughable 2 minute 'Mediation' call that the 12 steps already tells everyone about.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yeah I did see those, thank you.

I'm sorry if I offend you by asking questions that might be in the thread. I appreciate the help I really do, but personally I don't find the wording in the thread particularly easy to follow.

The links posted above by Keith have been seen. I was simply asking if there was a step by step guide to completing the whole form. I perfectly happy to fill in the form, but seeing as I have already got this far without the help from this forum and missed the defence template; I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

Filling in my N180 form now. I know to not opt for the mediation, there isn't an option to put "No", shall I just leave all the boxes blank? It also states I may received penalties if I do not.

"If you do not attend mediation, you may be subject to penalties.
These could include the Judge ordering you to pay costs, or the Judge
automatically ruling in favour of the other party(ies)."

    Thanks.

I posted this reply yesterday to someone who was also relying only on the ancient, nine year old bargepole thread instead of just following the 2025 up to date first 12 steps:

Mediation has been compulsory since 2024 and this is fully covered in the first 12 steps.

Mediation call didn't take place yesterday due to DCB Legal not participating.

The lady called me and explained she'd been on hold with them for 10 minutes but she was just making me aware if they don't attend the call it will go to court (unless of course they discontinue).

Which is 'wholly unreasonable conduct' so you will state that in your WS and ask for your full costs (time at £19 per hour) as a sanction.

    Had another mediation call today.

Went as normal, claimant offered their original "settlement" price. I then said I wasn't happy with that and I don't feel it was proportionate. Mediator asked what I think is proportionate, I said £10. He went back to DCB legal and they came back and said £270, to which I also said I wasn't happy with and would be happy to proceed to court.

Mediator will now pass the case onto my local court.

Do these cases usually go to court or at what point do DCB legal usually discontinue?

"Notice of allocation to the small claims track (hearing)" received.

Don't think there's anything more I need to do at this point is there, other than wait for a court date?
