Tomato Energy Lifestyle Tariff... Smart Meter related question

On the IHD - do you have a touch-button marked "now" by any chance? If so, try that and it might switch the screen to show the power being drawn at the current time. The monetary screens mean pretty much nothing as they may have never been updated from new, and the budget warnings are only helpful if you have set a budget yourself that you wish to be warned about - otherwise, again, they may still be on their default from new setting.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I dont think they will, interestingly the bright app reports when it gets tariff details from DCC, and unsurprisingly it has reported no update to me. I manually put int the details on the bright app, so if you get confused by usage, and want a laymans cost, use something like the Bright app, although be aware it seems to be dodgy on reliability, I have tons of usage gaps on the per day graphs.

In the two and a half months I was with Tomato, they never pushed any new settings to the Smart Meter to update the tariff data.
Our meter continued to display EDF as the supplier and with the old ESF ECO20:20 tariff data.
I did ask them if they had plans to update meters, but they said it was low priority and would be addressed at some point.
Our IHD never worked after we moved to the EDG GoElectric98 which preceded the ECO20;20 tariff. But even if it did work, I suspect without the updated smart meter configuration, it wouldn't show the new tariff either.
As you say @Chrysalis Bright wasn't seeing the new tariff details either and in my case, neither was N3rgy.0 -
Tomato has now sent update messages/settings to my meter but they only display that Tomato is the supplier of my electricity. As Lohr says, your rates are not displayed on the IHD,.0

Although there is a mobile phone image on the website, there currently isn't a phone App for MyWatts, just the website.0 -
The mywatts website works a treat for me and is definitely a saving compared to Octopus tracker Dec 23.
We have shifted the washing machine loads to come on at 1am for their 5p tariff.
I find the Hugo app the best of all the apps for displaying against your current tariff, you can set price per kW by day and night1 -

I'm due to switch suppliers to TE so lets see how I get on with them.
What I really want to know is how to accurately keep track of the usage cost throughout the day, week and month. Will that be possible through either myWatts (via a browser) or the Bright App? (once I've familiarised myself with how they work)

I've just installed the Bright App on my phone and registered with it. It's asking for the GUID of my IHD, I presume it's safe to do this?... the App seems to be recommended in a lot of Forum threads so I presume it's a reputable company and safe to use0
