I was looking for trustpilot reviews of Monzo, but starling seems to have a lot more negative reviews of people having their account restricted within the last few days. Also apparently they used to offer a high interest rate on current accounts, but thst's being turned off next month and people are being told to apply for the savings account that replaces it. But lots of negative reviews about not being accepted for this savings account. Have no rules come in recently?

And what is your point? I've looked at the reviews https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.monzo.comYou've been VERY selective.

Starling were fined recently and told to tighten up their anti fraud measures.

There are alternatives to Trustpilot
1. You could of read these reports

https://moneyweek.com/personal-finance/bank-accounts/best-and-worst-uk-banks-for-online-banking
2. Or you could just have asked perplexity this question" Which UK banks have the most satisfied customers".

It’s generally quite easy to find negatives about any bank.

Both Starling and Monzo are in the top quartile of customer satisfaction surveys and for least customer complaints per 100k customers.
Service wise you are not going to go far wrong with either.
Current example of Monzo restricting a customers account https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6579059/monzo-has-disabled-my-account-its-been-two-weeks-and-no-updates#latest1 -
I checked several high street and neo banks trust pilot for neg reviews in the last few days and Starling had by far the highest number of disabled account complaints plus lots complaining about savings taken away. All very unscientific but was wondering as there seemed to be something afoot, the huge fine makes sense now.M25 said:cronzo95 said:I was looking for trustpilot reviews of Monzo, but starling seems to have a lot more negative reviews of people having their account restricted within the last few days. If you search long enough, you can find dirt on any bank, including on the one you originally set out to find information about. You will also find more trustworthy and reliable sources than Trustpilot.cronzo95 said:
