Your subscription stays active until the end and you won't get charged. No risk of them cancelling your plan early if you delete your payment method or cancel auto-renewal.If you're within a few days of the auto renewal it could be worth talking to customer support and asking them to cancel - they normally offer a 30 day money back guarantee but I'm unsure if it applies to renewals. Otherwise just talk to your bank.Definately don't need to worry about CCJs and the like if you get your bank to cancel the payment.
Check if you have a current subscription to VPN.
Check that auto renew is set to "off".
You "wanna sign up for cheap 2 year deals", to what? Nord VPN? Another VPN? Something else entirely? Why two years?
It says my subscription has ended. They had a deal on the two year plan. Auto renew is set to ofg0 -

Check the date of your renewal. In my case, they took the money about 3 weeks before the renewal date, but you could cancel the renewal up to something like a couple of days before renewal, so they didn't give me time to decide before taking the money.
I complained on this basis and they gave me some wishy washy excuse about doing it to "ensure I remained protected", but agreed to the refund.
So as you have already managed to stop the payment, just cancel using the button next to auto renewal in billing.• The rich buy assets.
• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

Not sure blocking your own ISP from seeing your browsing history was the original security problem that caused VPNs to proliferate. Circumventing certain providers content controls is a use case but wouldn't classify being able to watch !!!! in a hotel room without paying the price they charge for the adult channel is a security matter and is similar as using it to being able to stream US Netflix or HBO Max from the UK
That said, some browsers do have soft VPNs built into them so can obscure your website history but not other calls the computer is making to the internet outside of the webbrowser.0 -

Sign into your account and under billing/subscriptions there should be an option to enable/disable auto-renewal.0 -

Sure, many companies will just write it off and maybe just ban you as a customer but others will take it further for more material sums.
Wonder if people would feel the same way about non-payment being a reasonable form of cancellation were it their employment being terminated by the employer just deciding not to pay them any more.1 -

If you are banned from a forum, a VPN can give you a new IP address, but I think it's doubtful that forums block on dynamic IP addresses anyway. For example O2 only has 4096 addresses, and a single user can use dozens in a day.1 -
I paid £98 for two years with Nord and no complaints from me.“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”
