Carribean cruise sim card

I'm going on a Carribean cruise stopping at a new destination each day.  When on land I'd like to be able to update emails, whatsapp etc.
Lebara do a 15-day 1GB sim for £25. It's listed for Barbados.
Has anybody successfuly used one for Curacao, St Lucia, Grenada or Antiga as well?
Other sim options welcomed.
Thanks

Above may be a good option if your phone supports eSIM
  • Unfortunately I can't use an eSim in my phone,  it's too old.

Another alternative is to use free wifi when you are ashore for stuff like Whatsapp and E-mails. There aren't many places in the world where you cant find a Maccy D's or similar with a free wifi offering or just go and have a beer or coffee in hotel and use their wifi.

Providing you dont have a burning desire to watch Netflix or send a million photo's you don't really need to use the mobile network at all. Whatsapp allows you use wifi to send photo's or even chat to your granny if you so desire all for free if you can find a wifi connection.

Looks like an interesting solution to not having eSIM but check out the price + shipping costs. A lot of reviews mention compatibility issues. Would replace your "usual" SIM if you don't have 2 slots.

Can only have a limited life as a product as eSIM becomes ubiquitous, might not motivate the continued development & support.

You can buy a new phone with eSIM capability for £140, the esim.me package will be around £35 for 2 users.
  • Thanks for the suggestions.  I have found a couple of websites / apps WiFi Map & Instabridge which show wifi access points.  esim.me looks interesting too.  I'll investigate that further.
