ParcelHero Scam

I sent a parcel with this company which arrived severely damaged but also with some strange orange substance that managed to leak through the packaging. The company refused to compensate me, and within minutes of receiving my complaint, removed £167 from my bank account.
The reasons given were firstly that their maximum compensation was £50, despite the value of the item being £580; then they wanted photos of all the packaging, including the fully wrapped item. This was not mentioned at time of booking.
It was not possible to leave a review on their site, and despite their claimed 4.7 (or something) status, most of the published reviews are negative, despite being shown as 5 star.
The company appear to be fraudsters, I can claim back the money I've been charged through my bank but otherwise I have no recourse. I publish this as a warning to any potential future victims of these fraudsters.

Its not clear if the "reasons given" is in relation as to why the company refused to compensate you or what the additional charge was for?
The photos mentioned are normally done by the recipient not the sender though it can be helpful to have your own photos incase the recipient is useless or uncooperative.0
