I've never bought any gilts but would like to. The main attraction for me would be the low coupon heavily discounted ones, with earnings in tax free capital gain rather than taxable interest.  I have all my equities on iweb and as far as I can see they don't do gilts?
What would be a good way to transfer unwrapped savings account money into gilts please?

iWeb offers gilts. On the dealing page you enter the ticker for the gilt you're interested in.
