Hi there,
Husband had text on 31st Dec saying his PIP review has been started and a letter is on the way, not received yet, but rural post-Christmas postal system so not surprised.
Does anyone know how long you have to complete and return the form once he does receive it, and then how long the waiting times are for the review to be completed please?
His current award is in place until August this year.
thanks in advance
Vicky

The current times for the review to be completed are around a year.
If they haven't finished it before August, he'll get a letter extending the award by another year.0 -
To give you a idea.

The default deadline for returning the form is usually 4 weeks from the date it's sent*, which will be the date of the text most likely. You can ask for an extension (usually 2 weeks).
But you can prepare now, if you haven't already, because you know what the activities are. And if you have a copy of what was written on his previous form, that can be a good basis for the review (unless very much has changed).
*In my experience in a location without postal troubles, DWP letters routinely take 7 days from their date to get to us. It's bizarre.0 -
Thanks Spoonie,
Yes I have started to make notes already, and have copies of what was on original form.
One more question if I may? If the award changes and is subsequently lower, does that come into effect from the date the decision is made, or the date the review was started, i.e. 31st December?
Thanks in advance.
