Your esclation options are either a legal claim (Small Claims Court) or Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)blackstar said:I emailed them again about this and said how as it was a technical issue we are due compensation but they said

That's a link to EU based customer support, which can't help a UK consumer.blackstar said:

I claimed compensation directly from the airline, and eventually this was approved and I am awaiting £1040.00. However, I have received emails and letters from Air Travel Claim and their lawyers saying I owe them £540.00 for managing my claim. I am being threatened with "further action" plus interest on my payment due if I don't pay within 114 days. I have never had any dealings with Air Travel Claim and certainly never instructed them to claim compensation on my behalf. I have no intention of paying this but it would have been very easy to do so, believing that I must have contacted them inadvertently. Has anyone else been approached by this (or any similar) company demanding payment?

There are very mixed reviews about this company, particularly the very high level of fees but how would they have your name and contact details if you hadn't approached them in the first place? If you genuinely believe you have never instructed them, write and ask for the evidence of your consent, if you did contact them initially, then I suspect they can claim the fees even though presumably they have done nothing at all regarding the actual claim.
