Interestingly Coventry Building Society have today released a Five Access Saver (Online)(2), paying a slightly lower variable interest rate of 4.56% monthly, 4.66% annual (4.66% AER). Up to 5 penalty free withdrawals per annum permitted with further withdrawals subject to a 50 day loss of interest. Withdrawals to be made via a nominated account. This account must be applied for and managed online and/or via the app.

Coventry BS have also released a Five Access Saver (2) today, paying a notably lower variable interest rate of 4.17% monthly, 4.25% annual (4.25% AER). Again up to 5 penalty free withdrawals per annum are allowed with further withdrawals subject to a 50 day loss of interest. However there is no reference to a nominated account in this case, and this account can also be applied for in person, by post or by telephone. Both of these accounts can be opened with a minimum of £1 and have a maximum balance of £250,000.

ETA: Links to these two accounts on Coventry's website as they are now both fully available for applications.

Just noticed my 4 access saver with CBS has become a 6 access saver. Have 4 access accounts become 6 and 3 access become 5?

    On 6th January I had:
    1 x Three access saver & 2 x Four access saver

    Now have:
    1 x 5 access saver & 2 x 6 access saver

Have received one email (08/01) about the three going to 5. But nothing about the four going to 6, has anyone been notified of this change ?

I wonder if they will now open up two versions of the 6 Access Saver to new applications (as they have for the 5 Access versions)?  I thought this was meant to be part of a simplification exercise.
