Is there any way to check Land Registry if my property is being registered

My solicitor has submitted a land registry application and has requested for it to be expedited. My property has not changed hands for 30 years so is not on the register. I have been told that my solitors are waiting for a letter to proceed. I am getting worried that my house sale will fall through. Is there any way I can check on LR if an application has been made?

Hi, I am waiting for a temporary title my deeds and epitome of title were sent to LR on 17th December. How long should it take for this for this to be issued.0

It's a week since your previous thread on the same matter, to which the Land Registry replied.

It was a different question, I wondered roughly how long for the temporary title to be issued as my buyers are pressing me for a completion date.

I'm assuming your buyer's are waiting for the property to be registered as a first registration, in which case it will take Land Registry quite a long time. Their solicitor may not be prepared to set a completion date until the first registration is completed..
Land Registry have to check that all the paperwork submitted is complete and proves that the line of conveyances/transfers lead to the current owner being the one entitled to sell the property to the new owner. Land Registry can give you an idea how long first registrations take currently.

Is there an issue with your deeds that made the buyer wary about proceeding without it first being registered? Otherwise I am confused why you would make an application while selling?1

No issue with the deeds, the buyers solicitor insited that we as the sellers had to register it before proceeding. My deeds and epitome of title were sent to LR by my solicitors but we are waiting for a temporary title to carry on the selling process and expidite the registry application. I just wondered what sort of time frame we are looking at for a temporary title to be issued.0

The buyers are using a conveyencing company rather than a solictor.

Land Registry published figures currently state an average timescale of 15-17 months for first registrations, but it will be looked at quicker as the application has been expedited, so fingers crossed you won't be waiting that long.
I'm surprised your solicitor went along with this to be honest. And the buyer should have chosen their conveyancer more wisely.2
