Just wondering what the process is with this - couple of quetsions?
1. Does savings play any part in the payment or is it not means tested?
2. Does the method of the last job stopping impact this ( it used to be if you left voluntarily you had to wait six months for a payment ) - is this still thesame?
Thanks

New style JSA is a contributions based benefit only so capital and living with a working partner does not affect entitlement. You will need class 1 NI contributions to claim this. It is paid for 26 weeks.
Yes this can affect entitlement and will depend on the reasons why you left your last job.
If you're claiming Universal Credit then JSA will be deducted in full so no financial gain to claiming it.0 -

I'm thinking of leaving my current job - but was wondering if there is any financial help available so I don't have to dip into savings ( I also get a small pension ) but am not State Pension Age0 -
I may be wrong but I think if you are receiving a pension then a deduction is made from the JSA - I can't find the details but I think it is deducted £1 for £1 after the first £5 or £10 ? Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be able to confirm or not0
