So this week the stock market generally stayed stable with my investment pie now standing at +£48.60 (3.92%). The pie is growing slowly which is nice to see, i will soon be over the £1300 figure.

I have created a Facebook and X (Twitter) page to document my Wealth Journey to keep myself disciplined. I have tried to create some different images to display my progress, other than copying and pasting my excel table which doesn't look the best or professional.

I have zero followers/page likes at the moment. I would love it if people could like/follow my page, share and retweet my content and help it grow to reach more people. I simply post 1 or 2 posts a day with very basic simple money investing/saving ideas/advice to help others to grow their wealth.

    Facebook > https://www.facebook.com/TheWealthJourneyUK

(Twitter) X > https://x.com/Savvy_Squirrel_ (this URL will change to closely match the brand in the near future)

I would love to have peoples feedback on both the Facebook and (Twitter) X pages to help me improve and grow. Be as critical as you like, i want to learn and love to listen to other peoples views.

I would also love to hear people with experience of growing X (Twitter) and Facebook Pages followers/likes from scratch, any tips or quick shortcuts?

Here is an example of my brand and summary of my investments so far this year and the excel screenshot but in my new branded format.

Looks great and very professional. You seem like someone who is very determined and interested in what you are doing, so I am sure you will do well with social media. I don't use social media very much, so I am afraid I have not much advice on growing a page, but maybe if you follow some of the bigger finance influencers and try to comment on their posts to try to get your page noticed? I like the gold and the squirrel. Also using AI to generate topics that folks might find relatable to read about?

I related to what you said about not being sensible with money when younger. I didn't learn any sense about that until I was older, as growing up there weren't good role models for it. I wasted years paying towards the mortgage of a boyfriend and didn't save to buy a property of my own. I frittered away years of potential! I reckon people will like to hear your backstory - where you are coming from on a personal level to start this.

Good luck with the social media - you're self-motivated so you can probably turn that into something good.

Thank you. It is difficult when you are younger, you don't really think about the future as much as you do when you get a bit older. But these are the best times to start investing when you are younger as the longer you are invested in the market the greater the returns, so i definitely think more education about investing and money management should be taught at an early age in schools/colleges.

Thanks for the support. I will try and grow the social media side but if it doesn't take off i will just stick to posting on here, it keeps me motivated to continue.

So today i had a phone call from the job that i had reapplied for. After a 10 minute chat about the job i was given a date for an interview this weekend. After some thought about the actual job details i have declined the interview and told them i no longer wish to be considered for the vacancy.

I was told in the phone conversation, more details about the job that weren't on the job advert. The job was more physically demanding than i thought it was going to be. And also there was no pay advertised on the advert it was just advertised as "competitive" So i did a internet search myself and from what i could see the pay looked like it was £13.71ph which is £1 more per hour than what i am on now. So i thought that would make up for my lost hours in my current job. But i was told on the phone that the pay is only £12.91ph which is only 20p per hour more and the contract is only 1/2 an hour more per week so im only gaining around £14ph before tax a week. Which for all the extra physical hard work it simply was not worth it. I am better off where i am until i can find something that suits me better and has a greater reward an incentive to move to.

Thats dissappointing that the job wasnt as appealing as initially thought, but lets look at the positives.

You got a response after an initial no, so youre now aware that it works to do this. You thought it all thru sensibly and realised it wasnt for you.
