    I just saw an (old) video where the guy used furniture polish as a lube. I have some so I could have tried that.

    I wouldnt use furniture polish. It will stay slippery and when the dryer is on spin any sort of uneven load will see it trying to walk back out from under the counter on its own. Windolene (own brand in most supermarkets less than £1) evaporates soon after use. 

    It's easier  when they first fit it as they will have wound down the front feet to level it
