Undervalued

My backup / emergency mobile is on an O2 PAYG sim that charges 3p per min for calls, 2p for a text and 1p per MB for data. There must be at least one chargeable use every six months to keep it active. Been this price for years but I have no idea if it is available to new customers.

Yes and no. 

No longer available from O2.

Available from sellers on eBay for little more than postage (and Amazon).

For anything other than emergency-only or trivial use a PAYM deal for a data-only SIM will always be cheaper than PAYG. How much data will you be using a month?

MSE deal still going on Lebara.

Mrs H on Lebara. Great but only downside no MMS but has usual SMS texts.

Got my lad their first phone for Christmas and found Lebara had a 50gb data, unlimited minutes and texts for 42p a month for 8 months then £9.90 there after.

That's extraordinarily cheap (at least for 8 months) and not terrible afterwards.
