Hello all, Mr Fix It had already started taking the tree and decorations down by the time I arose. He has packed the boxes wi**y nilly and now I don't know what's in what box. I had a method and every one was labelled plus I wanted to sort through the stuff we hadn't used for a while and declutter, but that's not happening now, oh well next time it will have to be. I have also done some hoovering and a bit of dusting today, although I'll probably find some more bits of tree in the future, they seem to appear out of nowhere !
We had about 3 ins of snow last night and it's still hanging around. We have had the snow plough up our road already but nothing much else is moving, perhaps it's because it's Sunday. I hope it's gone by tomorrow as we are taking Dad for an eye test and new glasses. I've already had a call from the opticians today to clarify some details about Dad's appointment even though I sent it in online when I booked, maybe they didn't believe his age 🤷♀️
Hope everyone stays well, and warm. I haven't read back so I'll do it after some lunch.

Morning everyone
Izzy it looks lovely as long as you can stay indoors - little one would love it. We had a little covering when I got up but the rain has washed it away now.
I've been down to mam and dads this morning - done his banking and email to eldest DD. This afternoon I have some tidying to do then a lazy afternoon reading.
Little one really enjoyed her birthday party yesterday, they'd had a great time playing party games - she was on the phone afterwards to tell me all about it. She was also very excited when I told her that the very bright star we'd seen on Friday night was actually Venus - and looked up Venus in a big book Santa brought her, then told me facts about more planets - it was quite a long chat!
Silver-Oldie I often struggle with cooking a 'proper' meal just for myself - so I tend to make enough for two nights, as I really don't mind having the same meal two nights running. Or I'll do enough veg and potatoes for 2 meals and have different fish or meat the second night. Anything like bolognese I make a pan full and freeze in containers, so they just need taken out the night before and put in the fridge to defrost.
Right I'd better get on - hope everyone has a good day x

Lovely photo @IzzyBee. That's how it looks here, the willow tree outside my kitchen is very pretty with its branches laden with snow. Our snow has now turned to sleet that's set to be with us until mid-morning tomorrow. Hopefully it will wash away the snow, then we're forecast dry and sunny days until the end of the week but it's going to be blummin' cold!
@dp1 - So pleased to hear LO enjoyed her birthday party. She's obviously got a very inquiring mind.Be kind to others and to yourself too.12 -
