The forecasted wild weather hasn't reached here yet though I gather that the roads were treacherous with ice elsewhere. The news reports from down south are horrendous so I hope that everyone is safe.Yesterday was very quiet for me, as are most days, punctuated by meals and emails. My feeling peculiar was still hanging on though not as bad as Friday, I haven't done much more than go to the loo and back today. Mind you, I had an uninterrupted sleep, hardly moved all night without any trips to the loo. As for today, I have a few tiddly chores to drift through, nothing too taxing. 😀
Stay safe, warm and dry my friends.16 -
Morning everyone and thanks for starting us off Gers.
It's still dark here, but it looks like we have had some sleet and it's icy out. I have no plans for today.
Hope everyone is ok. xx16 -
Good morning, thanks for starting Gers. Hope your peculiar feeling doesn't develop into a lurgy.
SuffolkSue, hugs and thoughts to you, how sad you must feel.
The snow has arrived, lots of it, it started during the night.
We weren't out yesterday, but concentrated on getting the decs down, now there's only the tree to do. We'll do it today.
I might try and go out today for some milk, but I do have 2 cartoons of long life milk, so I'm not desperate.
Snoozer, hope Laura gets back for her operation tomorrow.
Stay warm and safe, thinking of our poodles.18 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. I'm pleased your vague feelings of malaise haven't worsened. I thought today you might have joined the poodlies.
Well the forecasters have certainly got it right. A good helping of snow fell through the night here and it's still coming down. I've just put the news on and it sounds to be the case for most of us under the amber warning. I'm glad I have nowhere to go. There has been no sign of a gritter or plough up here yet but I suppose they are trying to keep the main roads open.
I got restocked with fresh veg yesterday so it's back to a more healthy diet now. I salvaged a portion of sliced beef in gravy out of the freezer for my lunch and will prep the veg shortly.
Have a good day folks if you can and stay safe if you have to venture out in the snow. ((HUGS)) as always for our poodlies, sad or lonely. Take care and keep warm xx

Morning all
Feels a bit like an anticlimax here, we were right in the centre of the ‘amber’ zone but have had barely 2” of wet snow that is already slushy. It’s thick cloud/fog too which unpleasant. I’ll see later if it’s worth clearing the drive or if the rain will do it!I actually managed some craft work yesterday in-between two dog walks,, two trips in the loft, packing away Christmas decorations and various other tasks. There’ll be more of the same today I think.Best wishes to all, stay safe and warm to all especially those with more of the white stuff

Morning All
No snow here but it's mighty cold, glad I gritted the driveway yesterday. Hope everyone is safe and warm wherever you are.
Nothing of note done yesterday apart from trying to knit a jumper for the little one, the collar is on a circular needle which I've not done before and am struggling with the little pointy bits! I will try to get it finished today.
Bed stripped this morning, so that will get made up once it has had a good airing, may even try to get the mattress turned if I'm strong enough!
Glad you aren't feeling any worse Gers, hope it passes quickly.
Pleased to hear the little one had a fab time dp1, hope she enjoyed her party.
Thinking of Mehefin and his horses today.
Take extra care. XX14 -
Morning all
It's raining here, although it started snowing last night and the rain hasn't washed it all away yet. Poor big dog he loves playing in the snow but hates the rain.
Cooking a small gammon later, enough for dinner and sandwiches tomorrow. Other than that no plans for today, a day of doing nothing methinks.
Suffolk Sue, you are still in my thoughts, sending you hugs.
Stay safe and warm everyone.

Hi everyone,
We've had a bit of snow but it's already starting to melt so should be gone soon as it's supposed to get quite warm today.
I've not had an update from the Lakes yet but hopefully they'll be able to get home at some point today.
I'm watching James Martin instead of chidren's tv and it's reminding me of Nelski.
I'm going to have a quiet day today, do a bit of menu planning and make some no sugar granola.
Glad you're feeling a bit better Gers. Stay warm everyone.
