London Heathrow Parking Fine received

I have been advised to post this here as it was at the end of my post about missing luggage
However when we reached home we had a shock parking fine of £80 waiting for us as the person driving our car to collect us from the flight had waited too long in pick up zone because of the delays in getting our 2 disabled passengers off of the flight! He was the only car there as can be seen by photos but if that the rule just another cost to add to an already costly experience. We did pay the short term cost of £17 for that day but did not know about where he had first waited. An experience we will not be repeating!
whilst we do not expect preferential treatment just because we are disabled a little recognition of how disability affects timing for instance would I am sure be appreciated by many people similarly affected by unattainable time constraints.

To expand-2 disabled seniors, daughter and granddaughter. First disabled senior’s car driven by SIL to drop off terminal 3. None of us have ever been here previously so very intimidated by all the signs etc. paid the drop of charge as instructed no problem even though it obviously took longer than with able bodies travellers.
Journey home was horrendous from start to finish but that’s another story. We texted arrival time prior to boarding and because none of us had any experience of returning to this airport it was decided pick up would be where we were dropped off.
However flight was delayed so late arrival but the main problem was that we required special airport assistance and because Heathrow sent insufficient wheelchairs it was over an hour before our disabled passengers were collected from the plane and because the other party members had collected our luggage they could not go through customs causing a real delay in connecting with our driver. When we did we discovered he had moved to parking garage and we duly paid £17parking charge.
Unfortunately a case had been left in baggage reclaim and we have just spent an expensive day returning to LHW to collect same because we were so slow through no fault of our own leaving the plane and getting to baggage reclaim. As we live on Isle of Wight all told this one trip alone cost us near £200!
Then to top it all when arriving home we get the £80 fine letter. It says “for contravention of use off (not a typo) Drop OFF Zone without making a valid payment time 06 36. Whilst it says words to effect terms and conditions well displayed. Well from the photos it is pitch black and void of any other cars or people and only driver in the car and the 2 photos provided show 2 minutes time lapse. We did pay a £17 charge for where we were eventually picked up as well as a further £17 for an hour when returning for our bag so it is not as though we’re try to avoid a valid charge.

As we were advised by posters elsewhere to create this thread is there anything we can do.
Thank you.

Yes dead easy to beat
Use any heathrow/gatwick non pofa appeal. There is a dedicated heathrow thread. One appeal. Copy and paste the text. Easy win2 -
As above it's a scam operated by unregulated scammers don't get to wound up over it it won't go anywhere.

Just read the Gatwick Heathrow drop-off Group thread. No need for any detail or questions!

Hi just tried to do as suggested. Get as far as entering post code and can get no further it just keeps telling me postcode incorrect you must look up and confirm address. Nothing wrong with entered post code and in my panic I clicked pay now - no messing about there went straight to payment options-I came off without entering anything started again can get no further than post code incorrect. Tried on phone I pad and desktop it is definitely not working. Is there an email address for them as I am thinking this by design? Is there another way to appeal?0
