Morning everyone
Thank you all so much for all your good wishes for little ones' birthday yesterday - I am happy to report that she 'had the best birthday ever I really love being six!'
We went to see The Little Mermaid at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle - it was excellent and so funny - little one loved the silly slapstick scenes and DD and I the jokes that she didn't quite get! Everyone was standing up clapping at the end. We went on the train as DD didn't fancy driving on icy roads and had a lovely lunch before the show. Little one was wearing a lovely new dress with a sparkly mermaid on the front and a tutu style skirt, with of course a big birthday badge - lots of people said Happy Birthday to her...which thrilled her.
This afternoon she is having a party at home with the 4 little girls in her year group - so more excitement!
I am so happy for her that she has stayed well for the last couple of weeks, hopefully it will continue when she's back at school.
When we came home DD booked us in for next years' panto - Aladdin - it's cheaper if you book early.
This morning I need to go for some shopping, not much just fruit and bread and stuff for my packed lunches next week and I could do with some new black jeans for work. I also should do some cleaning too, so I'll make a start before I go out. Then I'm planning a lazy afternoon reading.
Better get moving - I hope all the poodles are feeling a bit better. Take care outside x

What a slugguish start for me. Yesterday I felt a tad peculiar, not ill but certainly not well, I improved as the day went on though now feel just as peculiar today, mots unusual. It's not a cold or the 'flu so heaven knows. My guess is because my right ear seems blocked so I booked an ear suction session for later this month.I don't intend to go out over the weekend, mostly as I want to avoid people and, fingers crossed, any free-range viruses lingering in the air. My food stocks are more than adequate.Hugs to @Suffolksue - the pain never leaves us alone. I hope that you can summon up some happy memories too. That's such wonderful news @DP1, I could picture your little one in all her finest garb and sparkling up the theatre. Such a bad day for a funeral @Scarlet, they always seems worse in the dark dank days of winter.I'm off for a second coffee and a snuggle under my electric throw, I may move into the Crufts corner for poodles later.13

Morning all
Cold here but the frost is not as bad as yesterday, it seems that the whole country is on a warning for snow to come later apart from a tiny strip along the south coast which is where we live 🙄😩 I would love some snow just for a day or two.
Dogs to be walked later and housework to do it doesn’t take long with the three of us doing it, the fire will be lit early again today it helps to keep the downstairs warm without putting the heating on.
Dinner tonight will be what we call a flambe it’s basically like a pizza but the base is made from puff pastry it’s a good way of using up all the odds and end of cheese etc, will do a salad to go with it.
Suffolksue what a sad day for you all, sending lots of love and hugs to you all xxx
Have good days all and take care xx13 -
