Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
Bitterly cold again here with a heavy frost.
Welcome Mamaofmanybudgets, hope you keep posting.
Belated birthday wishes to Dp1' s little star.
We were out for a funeral yesterday, that was all we did really, except take down some more decs - the rest will be done over the weekend.
Hope the poodles are a bit further on in their recovery, stay warm folks.16 -

Morning All
Doesn't seem as cold this morning but still pretty chilly, thankfully none of the white stuff yet.
I didn't go out yesterday but will go out today for some supplies for going back to work, doesn't seem two minutes since we finished! Got some more knitting done and caught up with some TV.
Hope everyone is safe and warm and the poodles feeling better. Take care. XX13 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. No frost here this morning which is a surprise after yesterday's bitterly cold day. But I am bracing myself for the forthcoming snow which is forecast for later today.
I had both the girlies yesterday afternoon. Middle one went down home early evening as she has her stint at the dancing studio teaching the little ones this morning. Younger one stayed here and is still in the land of nod. The usual sausage sandwich was ordered before bed for breakfast when she wakes up. I actually slept later myself this morning, just wish it was every morning.
I had a text from DS last night to ask if I was ok to do the supermarket sweep today in view of tomorrow's forecast. Fine by me so he is picking me up after lunch when he finishes work. In view of the lurgy I haven't had a good shop since the beginning of December so I have a long stock up list. Mostly f & v & dairy, and cupboard stuff. And more pizzas for the girls! I like to keep an assortment in store for their short notice visits. When I get more notice it's the usual Bol Bake which they never seem to tire of!
Have as good day as you can folks, stay warm and safe if you can. ((HUGS)) for the poorly poodles, sad or lonely. Welcome to Mama of Many Budgets. Stick with us, the kettle is always on! Take care all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Morning everyone
It seemed to take forever for get light today - we’re on an amber snow warning later but rain tomrrow so not sure how that’ll pan out. Went to shops for a few essentials yesterday so no need to go out for days just in case.Actually managed some craft work yesterday and packed away some decorations. There’ll be more of that today.Hope DP1’s little one is enjoying being 6; best wishes to everyone else. Stay warm and safe.AA12 -
Good morning all, chilly here but doesn't look too frosty.
Yesterday's plans changed when I saw the weather forecast for the weekend, we are in the amber zone, so I decided it would be wise to do a top up shop in case we can't get out of the village. I let DH drive though incase the roads were icy. I was a good girl and only bought what was on my list, mainly fruit, salad bits and milk. Trouble was, I was so busy congratulating myself I put the trolley back and left my pound coin in it. Luckily I realised what I'd done as I walked away, went back and it was still there. My shop would have been more expensive!
No plans for today yet, apart from dog walking. Dinner tonight may be the chicken bbq sausages I got to try, will probably make some coleslaw with them.
Stay safe and warm everyone, and hugs to our poorlies and sad.14 -
Morning all. I haven't even pulled back the curtains yet so no idea what it's like out there.
Stressful day yesterday making lots of food for the family get together today. I snapped at DH when he went to get down the outside Christmas lights (they were already disconnected) and got him to do the hoovering instead! Priorities!
I still have the Thai chicken curry to prep but that's straightforward to cook. Wish I'd managed to do the ironing but that's out of sight in the airing cupboard for now.
We did find time to watch the Darts Final last night though and it was a thoroughly deserved win.
Must get going to have a good day everyone and stay warm. Hope the nasty weather doesn't affect too many of us.15 -
