Purchased a halford's bike and damaged the bikes lever

It is a fairly simple DIY job so if you are not up to it yourself hopefully a bike riding friend can help you out.
    They said £50 for the lever, labour was not discussed 
    Find a local independent bike shop and get a quote, they might be cheaper than Halfords.
