new tariff is out, increase price for the fix gas for the north east yesterday from 5.85p to 6.10, i fixed end sept at 5.52, slight increase in electric now at 21.94
my current deal ends boxing day so another 12 months i'm protected after that well ...... we wait and see

Meh. Tried moving to gas fix yesterday but the website is broken and the single fuel gas page doesn't work. Missed the boat now. Their website is generally bloody awful, more effort put in gimmicks like octoplus than the bits that matter.

when i renewed in sept, a quick pm on twitter and all done in less than a hour, give them a shout to see if they will match yesterday let them know the bother u had, worth a shot

A quickly answered phone call is usually all it takes with Octopus for any enquiries. Try it next time maybe.

... or an email asking to fix. Even if it wasn't actioned yesterday, Octopus have past form for respecting the tariffs offered on the date of the request.

So email, phone call or Twit/X message would have worked.

IIRC they no longer offer gas on its own for new customers, you have to have electricity as well.

I am on a 12 month fix to Aug 2025..... Just noticed mine has gone up.... strange. I have contacted them.

Not true for existing customers, but the single tariff page has been down for at least a week.
I used Xtwit dmsg to change my gas.
Someone said a phone call worked to

Not at 9 PM it isn't. I could have emailed them but hey ho. Not the end of the world will see out tracker till feb and see where the land lays then. Gas usage will be relatively low after that point anyway.

I helped a family member email them with a change of tariff request about 16:30 yesterday and it was done about 90.mins later. Lucky move.

your unit rate or SC should not increase, thats the whole idea of a fix
