Single platform beds that leave no gap when pushed together?
Thank you. I'll look into the zip and link option. They do seem expensive though compared with getting two single wooden bed frames. Can anyone recommend a store for the zip and links?
Not a recommendation because I've never used them but HotelContractBeds seem to be much cheaper for zip mattresses than anyone else, they seem ok on TrustPilot but cannot comment for their quality or durability. Will somewhat depend on if this is just an occasional sleeper or something thats going to be used regularly
I've been through the reviews and I am not totally bought. The price seems indeed quite good though.
Perhaps an easier solution could be to get two separate bases which I could link with a bracket. That way I could invest more in the mattress.
It's going to be used regularly as superking so I guess the zip and link would be beneficial... otherwise two single mattresses with a single topper could do the trick?

A single topper sort of works - it can keep the mattresses more together, but when you lay on one side (near the join anyway) your mattress sinks, and the topper has to 'pull down' the higher one. You can also feel the join if you 'cross the divide'. So OK for temporary use, (or if everyone stays on their own side....) but might wear the topper long term, I imagine.
