Ah it's either been sold or it's been taken down! The seller will most likely get the recall carried out before he sells it...Gewakefie said:Funny you mention that I saw a really good condition all on auto trader well for the price anyway, when I put it in mot checker it says it’s part of a recall and to call Mercedes for a free fix! I then asked the seller about this and he reckons he isn’t sure what it is lol, not gonna buy it anyway but the price I just thought nah too good to be true here it is if your interested to look

Another one to keep an eye out for in Mercedes of that age is the paint, there is a lifetime (30 year) warranty on some of the red paints because they bubble and crack (there are some blues affected though much much rarer to find a faulty blue than a red). These haven't been officially recalled but will be done under warranty so thoroughly examine the paintwork of any car you see before you buy. If you buy one and paint problems develop, it's the same process go to a dealer, book a free VHC>paint inspection>repair the affected area under warranty.0 -

Seems to be a few links about the bodywork warranty but has to be serviced yearly by MB dealer so that will exclude quite a fewsheslookinhot said:UniDebtStudent said:

I can't give you anything written I'm afraid, most dealers won't, it was introduced in the late 90s/early00s (at least I think it was then, I was a child at the time but remember family talking about it). The corrosion causes the paint to bubble and crack and it used to be the case that you had to have full MB Service history for them to entertain it, but I think there are so few affected still on the road (most people aren't even aware of the corrosion warranty and view the paint defect as a symptom of age) that if you find a nice enough dealer they'll honour it. Like all warranties, they're considered on a case by case basis, but a good chunk of the cars in age that OP is looking at had the metal/lacquer issues in the paint, so always good to check when buying.sheslookinhot said:
