So it’s been six months since I last viewed a property. I’m in Scotland and In February I viewed two I bid for one lower than value as I wasn’t 100%. I viewed on at fixed price further from rail links they were willing to take my offer as it was fixed price but I couldn’t decide. Then in July the ideal street came up I wanted and they wouldn’t take an offer even £22 thousand over. I believe the house instead sold ten thousand below that. Two property’s came up two doors down both refused. I am due some inheritance money next year and unsure what to do. I could be quite well off or pay some of my mortgage off or upgrade but for much less. But the estate agents came valued my house took photos things went sour over the summer after missing out they are now ignoring all emails. I believe the hype of Labour in July meant houses sold fast. The market is a little slower now. I have little room to extend but I’d like some new windows. Any tips? I don’t really plan on spending another year in limbo having offers declined

Yes they sold to a first time buyer. But the market has slowed down the same street I looked at in 2023 and it sat on market 4 months and sold 3 grand under. Seems very little on market 2/3 bedrooms around here maybe cost of living?0

2023 was slow as prices fell or just stayed the same .£40k drop in 2023 in my area on average -about 20k nowi know the glasgow /renfrewshire /ayrshire property prices and towns but not the prices outside this area bar edinburghpicked up now though although november / december i have always found it impossible to sell.picks up in febi have found nice propertys / all 1s / go quickest / and newish estates 2000-2015 are sought after like east kilbridefamilys are younger and have more children in scotland than they are in all the areas of england that i go to so cost of living and abity to save is more stretched
