Stocks and shares ISA. Risk appetite

I am just looking at my portfolio I hold funds and one invidiuail stock. Half my portfolio is in tech stock funds the other half is in the HSBC all world index. 150k in each. Is that a risky strategy having half my savings in tech funds? I'm 36.

Yes. That's a high risk strategy, but I think you already know that given that you are asking the question!

    1. Yes it is risky!
    2. Why did you not just put all that money into the HSBC all world index?
Technology, software & computers make up about 26% of that index anyway.

Thanks I'm thinking of rebalancing it out and just buying the HSBC all world index now

Though I think the tech stock funds at press have delivered higher growth. I've been invested about 9 years.

By the time you've realised any given strategy is too risky it'll be too late, The financial damage will have been done. Markets aren't always as benign as they've been over the past decade or so.

Fees really do matter, work out your T-Rex score for what hold at present & be shocked at the results!

Thanks yes the difference between a 1% fee and a 0.13 is huge over a 20 year time frame
