In most current defences v DCB Legal claims, paragraph 3 (within the 30 paragraph Template Defence) looks similar to the thread below by @shahib_02 ... just change the incident date:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6576011/cel-dcb-legal-pcn-cnbc-claim-defence-assistance-required-pleaseNo need for more detail except in your case just add an extra paragraph to the Template Defence, AFTER the paragraph 3 shown in the link:3.1. (Whatever your brief facts are).
4. rest of the Template Defence of (30 paragraphs but DON'T copy & paste it here...please!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi all, I'm currently working on the defence, used the template as per your kind advice. I spoke to Money Claim/ court advisers and extended the time to submit my defence by submitting the acknowledgement of service to them via email.
I was advised by the very helpful person over the phone that I can submit the defence by email and have been provided this email by them.
I just want to confirm I am submitting the defence to them via this email they provided-
ClaimResponses.CNBC@justice.gov.uk
I will email them a document and PDF copy to ensure they receive it.
Also I am completing and scanning the 2 pages of the response form sent to me by the court, complete with my signature at the end.
In section 3 titled 'defence' section I will hand write 'please see attached documents in the response email' before scanning.
Am I correct in doing this way or is everyone doing the defence hand written?
Thanks.

Nobody hand writes any of it. You submit your entire pack via email in a single PDF attachment, not within the body of the email.
Is this the form you received?

Please stop trying to go off piste. Everything you need to know for the early stages is in the first 12 steps in the Template Defence thread, right down to the email address to use and what to put in the subject line.
Put the reply form down and bin it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
