@apple_muncher can I join for January please?
I am flying back to the UK this evening and will be doing some planning and internal reflection while waiting (will force myself to spend the time sitting there doing this, rather than doom scrolling) so will report back tomorrow or Thursday at the latest with my plans.
I do know I am aiming at 18 NSD for January, this I can already share, as it's going to be a very poor month, so probably I will manage to do more than that (that's my actual aim).

grandmanerd said:Thanks for the new thread apple. Please sign me up. January will be a strange month. Next Monday the old kitchen gets ripped out and building of the new shower room and toilet begins. I've tried to anticipate (more water to be bought as I don't want to be up and down stairs and couldn't carry bottles down if I refilled them in the bathroom.
And you can always ask the builders to fill your water bottles.

Can I join in too please @apple_muncher
Fashionista! I am going to actually buy a wardrobe this month. Then I can get my clothes out of the 5 drawers they are in and I can see what I have and what I need, and what needs to be run through the washer with a black Dylon pod to make them wearable
Revolutionary! Rebellious! Resourceful! Refuse to do things.
I have a 25 person DH family weekend in early January - this is going to be the stuff of family legend - it could go either way, but whichever way it goes I am going to laugh my head off. Pass the popcorn! Not my circus, not my monkeys! Got a few days work as well afterwards. I am going to go and look at the sea while I am near the coast
Evolutionary! Keep evolving, keep changing, keep learning.
Adult education courses start 9th January, will have a look and see if anything jumps out at me. Want to start running again.
Eat well - Plan to get back on the soups, I am putting on weight again, although I was very restrained at Christmas, I do need to move more
Do good! Donate! - 3 charity shop bags ready in the car boot.
Old-fashioned ways - Painting my bedroom tomorrow. Going forest green. Painting the living room too.
Music! Play an instrument! Sing in the shower! Dance! Enjoy the rhythm/beat/lyrics. - dooby dooby doo!
No spend days – NSDs – 14 minimum
Elephant in the room. The kitchen and bathroom need a total refurb - will get it booked in and a start date. I can't be embarrassed of my house forever.
Wish list. What do you want from the year ahead?
House to be finished - I have the funds but am terrified of messing it up.
To earn enough to actually pay tax this year please!
And finally, BUDGET. What’s your plan for this month?
I have enough, finally, but it might all disappear on the house - that is the fear.
