Checking in very very late with my March figures. I managed 22/20,and am aiming for 21 days for AprilSadly its been a difficult time for Mr Dusty. He went for a chest scan on 26 th March and the hospital rushed him down for a heart procedure. He had a massive amount of fluid in the sac around his heart, they had to drain 700mls,around 24 fluid ounces of fluid.from his heart wiich was interfering with his hearts ability to expand when beating, and could lead to heart failure. After the procedure I went in to see him,and thought he had a catheter and had a bag full of bloody dirty looking urine, but it wasnt,it was thefluid from around his heart. I had naively thought the fluid would look like water,or be a little yellowish so seeing that absolutely disgusting stuff and knowing it came from around his heart was really horrible, really shocking, and I still feel a bit faint every time I think about it The situation added to his cognitive problems,he kept pulling out the drain etc. He was unable to feed himself was agitated and on the wander all the time,as in other hospital stays/. I spent 8 hours a day taking care of him to save the busy staff in the cardiology ward a lot of work. Anyway,he finally came home on Tuesday night. Basically the man is tough as an old boot,as always the staff were amazed at his resilience at 88yrs old, with a brain problem, anaemia and the fluid problem. It was a relief to get him home.It was our 55th wedding anniversary today, but I asked the family not to come to celebrate.I feel he needs peace and quiet, rest and no stress at the moment. to recover from the stress of the hospitalWe keep on plodding!4

Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!4 -
@dustydigger so sorry to hear you've been through such a difficult time, that must have been really hard in the hospital, but many congratulations on your 55th anniversary, that's quite an achievement xx3

I gave up coffee AND alcohol. I just had a meeting where I was offered a coffee and drank it before I remembered! I hope not to do that with alcohol, but it just shows how habit based these things are!
